Nicole Lucking is a Los Angeles-based pediatric occupational therapist (OT) with 25 years of experience working with children of all ages, ranging from premature infants to teenagers in home, school, hospital, and community settings. In 2017, Nicole took a step back from her thriving private OT practice in order to create Playfulnest. Her specialized training in sensory processing, extensive knowledge of child development, and in-depth understanding of how the physical environment impacts play makes her services one of a kind! Nicole is passionate about creating experiences and environments that help children flourish and families connect.

Nicole is a Minnesota-girl at heart and has never outgrown her love of toads, small world play, and nature crafting. She considers being an idea generator as her super power and gets a thrill out of figuring out ways to repurpose things. Her creative son and artist husband inspire her daily and are her absolute favorite travel companions.. When not immersed in her work, she loves a good latte, game night with friends, special moments with family, and exploring thrift stores in new cities.
